Situation 30 (Photo Puzzle)

A male patient, in his fifties, came to the emergency room complaining of a sudden right leg pain (especialy in the calf area) while working.
He has a history of Bechet's disease few years ago and still on imunosuppressants (steroids, Azathioprin) and Aspirin.

What do you think of it?

This is a case of ruptured plantaris muscle. Although the patient had a predisposing factors for developing D.V.T. Doppler studies revealed free deep veins.

Some photos of plantaris muscle anatomy & position. Its rupture is confused with other causes of calves swellings.
